Day 5-Nothing But Trouble review

As I mentioned in the I Am Malala review,Maximum Pop do loads of giveaway's.Luckily for me,I won another book! (And another, but I'll get to that at a later time). And the book I won is Nothing But Trouble by Matt Cain!

For me,this book wasn't fully appealing to me. When I first started reading it I thought 'ok this seems alright' and it is an alright book. The characters are so realistic and everytime I read more about the character Lola I picture Madonna. I don't know why. It shows the brutal honesty of how whenever we meet someone we see their flaws before the good parts about them. So that beats the cliche of love at first sight and all that crap. But as I carried on reading it became more of a romance story and romance stories bore me. Like sure there is some good romance books out there, but it takes me time to read them.

I actually haven't finished this book because I got round about 100 pages into it and thought 'nah'.I'd rather read more action packed books and I need to be in the mood to read books like Nothing But Trouble. Now I'm not saying it was a shit book, because it's not. It's good, but it's not my cup of tea. I have the feeling that the love story is going to be a typical one and that bores me. I may be wrong though.

I honestly don't know what sort of books that I would compare this one too, because it doesn't remind me of anything. But it does remind me of the show Nashville. However,it took me a while to read If I Stay and The Shock Of The Fall. The Shock Of The Fall turned out to be my favourite book. So who knows what I'll end up thinking of this book.
